Thought for the day: Fit body vs peaceful mind
It is important to stay fit and exercise - it has so many benefits, not only for your body and longevity but your mind too. But - there is a breaking point where the stress of keeping a fitness routine, going to the gym no matter what can create more stress for your mind than the benefit for your body.
I’d much rather have a peaceful and happy mind than bench/run/lift just that bit more.
Find your rhythm. Don’t let Instagram retouched photos dictate how much you should exercise. Do a bit more than you think you should, but don’t allow it to create unnecessary stress in your life.
You will have to live with your mind till the end. You won’t be able to keep those muscles or pace per mile for that long.
Your body and mind need exercise. They don’t need to be in the top X% of your group/friends/app (unless being there makes you so happy and fulfilled that you don’t feel stressed from what it takes to get there).
